Description
Organic Blood Cleansing Tea
Your blood connects nearly every system in your body. It transports oxygen and nutrients, carries hormones and immune cells, helps regulate body temperature, and transports metabolic byproducts to the organs responsible for processing and eliminating them.
At Bio Balanced Organics, we use the traditional herbal term “blood cleansing” a little differently than you may see it used elsewhere. Your blood doesn’t need to be “washed” or manually detoxified by an herbal tea. Your body already has sophisticated systems that maintain the composition of your blood. The liver processes substances, the kidneys continuously filter the blood, the lungs exchange gases, and the digestive and lymphatic systems contribute to normal elimination and fluid balance.
Our organic Blood Cleansing Tea was thoughtfully formulated with botanicals traditionally used to support these natural processes and promote whole-body wellness.
What does “Blood Cleansing” Mean in Herbalism?
“Blood cleansing” or “blood purification” is terminology with a long history in traditional herbal practice. Historically, herbalists used this term to describe botanicals incorporated into wellness practices focused on elimination, digestion, skin health, circulation, and overall vitality.
Today, we have a much deeper understanding of human physiology.
Rather than suggesting that an herb literally removes impurities from your bloodstream, our approach focuses on supporting the body systems that maintain internal balance.
That’s an important part of the Bio Balanced Organics philosophy: combining traditional herbal knowledge with modern understanding of the human body.
Why Whole-Body Support Matters
The body’s natural elimination processes aren’t carried out by a single organ working alone.
Your liver helps process nutrients and other substances. Your kidneys continuously filter the blood and help maintain fluid and electrolyte balance. Your digestive system absorbs nutrients and eliminates waste. Your lungs exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide, while your circulatory system connects these processes throughout the body.
That’s why our herbal approach doesn’t focus on a single organ. WE formulate with the whole system in mind!
Featured Botanicals
Our organic Blood Cleansing Tea contains a thoughtfully selected combination of herbs. Rather than publishing our proprietary ratios, we’re highlighting several of the botanicals that form the foundation of this blend.
Yellow Dock Root (Rumex crispus)
Yellow dock is a bitter botanical with a long history of use in Western herbal traditions. Herbalists have traditionally incorporated the root into preparations centered around digestive function, elimination, and general wellness.
Its characteristic bitter qualities are one reason yellow dock has maintained an important place in traditional herbal practice.
Pau d’ Arco (Handroanthus impetiginosus)
Also known as lapacho or taheebo, pau d’ arco comes from trees native to Central and South America and has a rich history of traditional botanical use.
The inner bark contains numerous naturally occurring plant constituents that have generated scientific interest. While laboratory research continues to investigate these compounds, human evidence remains limited —which is why we prefer to honor pau d’arco’s traditional use without making claims that extend beyond current evidence.
Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceus)
Astragalus has been used for centuries within Traditional Chinese Medicine and remains one of the better-known botanicals associated with vitality and resilience.
Within our whole-body approach, astragalus complements the formula’s focus on maintaining wellness rather than approaching herbalism as “removing toxins”
Why these herbs work together
Herbal formulation isn’t simply about putting several herbs into the same bag.
At Bio Balanced Organics, we consider how botanicals complement one another within a broader framework and how the body systems we’re supporting interact with one another.
Yellow dock contributes the traditional bitter elimination-focused component of the formula. Pau d’ Arco brings its long history of botanical use. Astragalus broadens the formulation toward resilience and vitality, assisting in immune function.
The result is a thoughtfully crafted blend designed around whole-body herbal wellness.
Dee’s Notes
When I talk to clients about “cleansing the blood,” I want them to understand what we’re really talking about.
Your body already knows how to cleanse itself.
The goal of herbalism isn’t to take over the body’s job. My approach is to look at the system involved, understand how they work together, and select herbs that have traditionally been used to complement those processes.
That’s why I don’t formulate by looking at one herb and asking, “What does this herb fix?”
I’m looking at the person and the whole system.
For me, herbal wellness is about education, consistency, and learning how to support better the body you’re living in.

How to Prepare Your Blood Cleansing Tea
Follow the preparation instructions provided with your Bio Balanced Organics Tea.
For the best herbal experience, use fresh, filtered, spring, or distilled water to prepare your tea according to the recommended amount and steeping time. Because this formula contains roots and barks, proper preparation is particularly important for extracting their water-soluble constituents.
Consistency, hydration, nutrition, movement, adequate sleep, and other healthy habits remain important parts of an overall wellness routine.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Does Blood Cleansing Tea literally cleanse the blood?
No. Your body already maintains your blood through complex physiological processes involving organs including the liver and kidneys. “Blood Cleansing” is traditional herbal terminology. Our formula is designed to complement the body’s natural wellness and elimination processes rather than literally purify the bloodstream.
What Herbs are in the Blood Cleansing Tea?
Featured botanicals include yellow dock root, pau d’ arco, astragalus, and a small amount of licorice root. Additional ingredients and formulation ratios remain proprietary.
Can I drink Blood Cleansing Tea every day?
Follow the serving duration recommendations (typically 2 cups every other day) provided with your product. Herbal products aren’t appropriate for every individual, so sometimes the dosing and usage period will be changed.
Is this a detox tea?
We don’t view herbal wellness as forcing the body through extreme detox. Instead, our formulation philosophy centers around supporting the physiological systems the body already uses to maintain balance.
Can I take this tea with medication?
Herbs can interact with medications. Because this formula contains multiple botanicals, be sure to speak with a qualified professional before combining herbs with meds. One rule of thumb is to allow 2-4 hours between herbals and medications.
Herbal Safety
Consult a qualified professional before use if you are pregnant, nursing, or have an existing health condition.
Because this formula contains licorice root, additional consideration is appropriate for individuals with high blood pressure, heart conditions, or kidney conditions, despite licorice being present in only a small portion of the overall blend.
